Always-reliable American actor John Phillip Law, who appeared in many international cult favourites, has died. His first break came in The Russians are Coming, The Russians are Coming, but he found greater fame abroad in the likes of Death Rides a Horse, Danger: Diabolik (as the title character), Barbarella (as the angel), as Sinbad in The Golden Voyage of Sinbad, The Cassandra Crossing and Attack Force Z. Other notable films included camp classic Hurry Sundown, famous flop Skidoo, Corman's near-last The Red Baron, Dennis Hopper's infamous The Last Movie, another camp favourite in the Dereks' Tarzan the Ape Man, and Roman Coppola's tribute CQ. |
