The death of Norwegian starlet of the late sixties and seventies, Julie Ege, has been announced; she had been suffering from cancer. For a while her career looked bright, with appearances in a Bond movie - On Her Majesty's Secret Service - Marty Feldman vehicle Every Home Should Have One, the Up Pompeii film and Hammer's Creatures the World Forgot, but she never really broke out of the cult movie world. Other appearances included The Magnificent Seven Deadly Sins, The Final Programme, Craze, Percy's Progress, The Mutations and The Legend of the Seven Golden Vampires. She eventually retired from the screen to become a nurse back in Norway.
