The Living And The Dead on DVD
  New British horror
Respected British actor Roger Lloyd Pack stars in this multi-award winning harrowing psychological horror The Living And The Dead written and directed by SimonRumley.

This disturbing and tense thriller revolves around the disintegrating home and lives offormer peer Lord Donald Brocklebank (Pack – Only Fools And Horses, Harry Potter), his terminally ill wife Nancy and schizophrenic son James (Leo Bill - Vera Drake, 28 Days Later). It will be released on DVD on 19 May 2008 courtesy of DNCEntertainment.

Close to bankruptcy, and in desperate need of funds to care for his ailing loved ones Donald is forced to sell the family estate, but in order to complete the deal he must travel out of town for a few days leaving the family in the care of a trusted nurse.

The stress of looking after his seriously ill mother leads to the deterioration of his own mental health and the more drugs he takes the worse his condition gets, leaving him unable to distinguish fantasy from reality with tragic consequences.

The film won the Jury Award in five categories (including Best Picture, Best Directorand Best Actor) at the 2006 Austin Fantastic Fest and has achieved Official Selection status at 32 International Film Festivals.

“Skirting genre conventions, Simon Rumley’s twisted feature inhabits shores where the gore is minimal and the demons unseen — neither of which makes itany less disconcerting.” New York Times
