“A gleeful black comedy” - Radio Times

With an all star cast, including Tony Curtis, Kirk Douglas, Burt Lancaster, Robert Mitchum & Frank Sinatra, and directed by John Huston (“The Maltese Falcon”)

Out on DVD for the first time worldwide

When his suspicions are raised by a series of gruesome, yet seemingly unrelated deaths, Adrian asks his friend, retired MI5 agent Anthony Gethryn (George C. Scott), to solve the unfolding mystery of a secret list bearing the names of the deceased.

When Messenger is himself killed, it transpires that a sinister villain is using a variety disguises and schemes to bump off the eleven names on the list. Always seemingly one step ahead of the wily Gethryn, this criminal mastermind’s plot is about to come to its disastrous and devilish conclusion as the fate of the name at the bottom of the list draws ever nearer.

A brilliant, blackly comic mystery from John Huston, the legendary director of “The Maltese Falcon” and “The African Queen” boasts a sublime score by renowned composer Jerry Goldsmith and a cast that include a staggering array of talent.

Amongst the cast of bizarre, double-crossing characters are Burt Lancaster, Robert Mitchum, Tony Curtis, Frank Sintra and Kirk Douglas. The ultimate mystery is in uncovering which of these disguised guest stars is at the dark heart of the list of Adrian Messenger. Can you unravel the secret?
