  Across The Universe on DVD
At least as good as The Rutles
"Across the Universe sweeps you up on a wave of terrific Beatles songs." Rolling Stone
"Wonderful." **** Empire
"Irresistible." **** Daily Express
"Captivating." The Times

Directed by acclaimed Academy Award nominee JULIE TAYMOR (Frida), Across The Universe stars EVAN RACHEL WOOD (Running With Scissors, 13) as Lucy and JIM STURGESS (The Other Boleyn Girl, 21) as Jude. Joining them are JOE ANDERSON (Becoming Jane), EDDIE IZZARD (Velvet Goldmine), SALMA HAYEK (Frida) and BONO (U2) and JOE COCKER.

A dazzling and spectacular tale, Across The Universe is a love story that also reflects the social and political protests and upheavals of the mid to late 1960’s. Jude (STURGESS), a young man, leaves Liverpool for the USA, hoping to find his estranged father. There he meets and falls in love with Lucy (WOOD), becomes involved in the anti Vietnam War movement and travels across America, all to a soundtrack of more than 30 Beatles songs, including A Day In The Life, All My Loving, With A Little Help From My Friends, Dear Prudence, Helter Skelter and I Want To Hold Your Hand.

This superb two-disc edition, brimming with bonus features, is available to buy on DVD and Blu-ray and to rent on DVD from 11th February 2008, courtesy of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
