  Metal Mickey on DVD
  Boogie Boogie
Network is delighted to announce the DVD release of cult children’s programme METAL MICKEY – THE COMPLETE FIRST SERIES on 18th February 2008, RRP £14.99. Metal Mickey was co-created and directed by former Monkees drummer Michael Dolenz.

When science whizzkid Ken Wilberforce creates a robot to help with chores around the house, he gets a lot more than he bargained for with Metal Mickey. Endowed with magical powers, Mickey can battle aliens, travel through time and withstand extreme temperatures. The loveable robot also has a knack for getting into trouble and subsequently often wreaks havoc in the Wilberforce household. However, Mickey has a heart of gold and soon becomes a much loved member of the family.

Written by Colin Bostock-Smith (As Time Goes By), the series became a staple of Saturday afternoon TV and spawned a wealth of merchandise including annuals, lunchboxes and sweets Starring John Edward as Metal Mickey, Irene Handl (Educating Archie) as Granny and Ashley Knight (The Winter Warrior) as Ken, Metal Mickey will appeal to fans of classic children’s TV. This set contains all 8 episodes of the first series, complete and uncut.
