Actress Deborah Kerr has passed away due to complications from Parkinson's Disease aged 86. Always a class act, she appeared not just in British film classics like Powell and Pressburger's The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp and crazed nun epic Black Narcissus, but international hits like The Hucksters, Quo Vadis, From Here to Eternity (featuring the roll in the surf with Burt Lancaster), The King and I, Heaven Knows Mr Allison, Separate Tables, The Sundowners, cult chiller The Innocents and Night of the Iguana, all alongside the top male stars of her era. Other films include Casino Royale (the original) and Eye of the Devil. |
