Canadian actress Lois Maxwell, famous throughout the world as the first Miss Moneypenny from the James Bond films, has died in hospital aged 80. Starting with Doctor No in 1962, she played the role until A View to a Kill in 1985 a total of fourteen times. As well as Bond movies, she appeared in Stanley Kubrick's Lolita, classic chiller The Haunting and the Italian Bond spoof that starred Sean Connery's brother, OK Connery.
