  Gritty drama
  On DVD January 2008

William H Macy (Fargo, The Cooler) plays a world-weary businessman whose life changes dramatically after visiting a fortune teller. Accepting he’s been in a loveless marriage and a boring job, he seeks freedom and self-discovery on the streets of New York but it becomes a destructive descent into a personal and urban hell.

Stuart Gordon (director of Re-Animator) steers this disturbing tale into the angst-inducing territory of Taxi Driver, Bad Lieutenant and Falling Down. Adapted from his own play by David Mamet (Glengarry Glen Ross), there’s a blistering performance from William H Macy (Fargo, The Cooler) as an Everyman figure fighting back, supported by an all-star cast which includes Denise Richards (Love, Actually, The World Is Not Enough), Mena Suvari (American Beauty, TV’s Six Feet Under), Julia Styles (The Bourne Ultimatum) and Bai Ling (Dumplings, The Crow). DVD extras include trailer.
