  Save the lions
1966 film classic, Born Free, starring the Foundation's co-founders Virginia McKenna and Bill Travers, has been released on Blu-Ray for the first time in the UK. This is a special edition of the wonderful true adventure, adapted from Joy Adamson's best-selling novel about raising the orphaned lioness Elsa and eventually setting her free.

DUAL FORMAT SPECIAL FEATURES including:
o Audio Commentary with Film Historians Jon Burlingame, Julie Kirgo, and Nick Redman
o Spirit of Elsa - a featurette on the Born Free Foundations work in Kenya
o Elsa the Lioness 60th Anniversary - a short featurette about Elsa, the lioness whose story is the basis for Born Free
o Promotional featurette, generously provided by the Born Free Foundation
o Original Theatrical Trailers

All of the profits from these sales go directly to Born Free - the dynamic international wildlife charity, founded in 1984 by the actors Bill Travers MBE and Virginia McKenna OBE - (if bought direct from their website). Follow the link above for that site.
