  Won't back down
  The powerful and deeply effecting feature documentary from British directors Andrew Thompson and Lucy Bailey, MUGABE AND THE WHITE AFRICAN, made a huge impact on its theatrical release, garnering huge critical acclaim and awards and nominations galore, winning Best Documentary at the British Independent Film Awards and nominated for both a BAFTA and an Oscar. This outstanding film now makes it way to DVD, complete with a slew of extras, on 10 May 2010 courtesy of Dogwoof.

Mike Campbell is one of a handful of white farmers still left in Zimbabwe since President Robert Mugabe began enforcing his controversial land seizure program, an initiative intended to reclaim white-owned land and redistribute it to poor black Zimbabweans. Since 2000, formerly thriving farms that employed thousands, now sit derelict while poverty and hunger are rife amongst the majority of the country's citizens; but 74-year-old Mike refuses to back down.
